We didn’t know each other. We just exchanged information over the web site at  www.4x4central.com, until one day this guy, Kvo asked, "Does anyone from the Bay Area go to Hollister Hills SVRA ?". Well I had been there a few times and had never seen another Explorer out there, so I answered back . I gave this person as much info as I could, told him how much fun it is out there, and hoped he wanted to go 4-wheeling. Maybe we could get together and do a little 4-wheeling some time. Well as luck would have it, He comes back and asks if I and anyone else from the Bay Area would like to go up there and do a little  4-wheeling. We picked a date and well, here we are. We all met at the Ranger Station  and introduced each other. There was Khoa Vo and his two dogs, Teddy and Cody, Garrett Guess and Kristi, and  me and my son Jordan. I was so stoked about going  that I forgot my camera, but I wasn’t alone. Khoa had his lunch  all made up, but left it at home.

Once we got into the gate, we aired down and headed for the obstacle course, but not before Khoa and I had a little fun going through the bowl. Garrett, seeking the better part of valor, opted to go around. Khoa,  after 2 attempts to get out finally found a good line and out he came. I followed his line and got out with no problem. At the obstacle course, Khoa made a run at the stair climb, with an off camber turn in it to go back down the hill , and did a great job all the way through. We went through some of the obstacles for a warm-up, then headed out to the trails. The trails are marked to indicate the level of difficulty. Green circle, for easiest trails. Blue square for more difficult, and black diamonds, for most difficult. We hit almost all the blue square trails. There were a few times we had to back up because we couldn’t get up a steep hill. You know some lockers would sure come in handy. I’m gonna have to convince the boss that we have a need for some ARB lockers.

I have posted questions which were answered, and answered questions for others I also just talked to these people over the Internet, but it was really nice to finally meet them and share an experience with them. In fact it was so much fun that we are going to try and get together again.
